Club Captains - 2025

Club Captain - Charlie Jackson

Welcome to Durham City Golf Club. Whether it’s social or competitive golf you enjoy, you’ll find Durham a friendly place to be, with challenging greens in play twelve months of the year.

It’s a great honour for me to represent the club as Captain and I will always be available to new members should they need advice (preferably golf related!).

As always we have competitions and social golf exchange days planned throughout the year. Together with a healthy entertainment calendar in the clubhouse we hope to raise significant funds for our charities this year: ‘The Great North Air Ambulance’ and ‘St Andrews U11’s Youth Club Brandon’.

I know we will have a great year in 2025 as we, as a club, are dedicated to achieving that.

Lady Captain - Kathryn Ord

As Lady Captain for 2025 I'd like to welcome you to Durham City Golf Club. It is an absolute honour to be Lady Captain and lead our very active and involved ladies section.

The ladies section at Durham City comprises upwards of 50 members of all ages and abilities, getting together for both social and competition golf during the week and at a weekend.

In the last 3 years we have hosted successful Women into Golf programmes, and seen a number of new ladies join our club as a result. This programme aims to introduce women to the wonderful game of golf and we again will be hosting a series of events over the spring/summer of 2025.

Whether you are a seasoned golfer or a relative beginner please come along and join us, there will always be a friendly welcome.

I will be fundraising this year for my chosen charity, Great North Air Ambulance.

Kathryn Ord
Lady Captain 2025.
